I have bought from them before and I would buy from them again. This was a good buying experience. there was good dialog, and when the product didn't connect correctly because of the way my work computer was configured they took it back with no issues.
Now I can use both of them, without having to buy another monitor.I plan on upgrading to another system in the future, so will be buying another one, or one with more capability. It connected my two computers wonderfully to one monitor, keyboard, and mouse without any complicated installation or confusion.
I look at the device and say, "Ok, this goes like this." and I get it to work. they don't.I totally love this thing. Some people did not like the setup of the cables. This is tiny." But I take a look at it and all the cables and think, "Alright, let's do this."I am a techy dork so instructions are like advertisements. they did. This product is awesome.
The added feature of sound is something I needed because I love my music. I highly recommend this device if you have two computers that you want to connect. I was afraid my computers my just not like it and blue screen. it all works and the device works great. nope. Sound, keyboard, mouse, monitor. Wazzaam.I turn on the computers expecting to be required to install some drivers. I have the device right next to my monitor and I can switch back and forth with just a reach.
Let me describe my experience. So the box arrives and I am thinking, "finally I have some more PC freedom." When I open the box and unpackage the device I am thinking, "Are you kidding. For me, they work great. If you have greater needs then you should look at something bigger, but the name TRENDnet might be a good buy. So I spend a few minutes cleaning off my desk, and then a few, less, putting the product on my two computers. I worried that my Linux computers might not handled it.
I can switch between sounds and video by a click of a button it works great no sound static no glare or fading. The monitor that I bought dose'nt have a switch so this was the best item for me. I highly recommend this product. I bought this product for my xbox360. I use a VGA chord for my system to hook up to the monitor.
Its been almost 10 days and no problems at all.Can switch back and forth between 2 computers swiftly. Anyways, returned this product and bought the KVM switch from Belkin. I talked to local store (Best Buy/Radio Shack) technitians and they said it shouldn't matter.
After I hooked up this switch, I was able to switch from XP to Windows server 2008 computer but when I tried to switch from Windows server 2008 to Windows XP- the monitor shows the display but the mouse/keyboard never worked. Called technical support again and they said this product may or may not work with WIndows Server 2008. I bought this KVM switch to work with my computers 1 having windows XP and the other having Windows Server 2008.
This is not mentioned on the product description anywhere. I called up the technical support twice: On the first instance, they asked me to change the resolution (on both the machines resolution was different so I made it similar) worked for one day.
Next day again the same problem-can't use mouse/keyboard when I switch back from windows server 2008 to Windows XP.
