What Customers Say About TRENDnet TK-209K 2-Port USB KVM Switch Kit with Audio (Includes 2x KVM Cables):

The monitor worked but I figured that I would just swap for the cheaper TRENDnet if all that was going to work was the monitor. I am so thrilled that this inexpensive switch beats the fancy more expensive one and does what I need. No, it's not pretty, and maybe cables are all over the place but it works. The TRENDnet TK-209K is an outstanding bargain. I honestly did not expect the keyboard/mouse to work but it does. Which is what is really important to me. Works great and set-up was super easy. I use it with two laptops (one Dell, one Fujitsu), a Viewsonic monitor, and a Microsoft Wireless Laser 7000 Keyboard/Mouse bluetooth combo.I purchased an IOGEAR KVM switch last week that costs 4 times as much and which I could not get to work with the keyboard/mouse.

I read a review that said this switch would not work with video cards, but I am running it with an NVIDIA Quadro card and it works fine. I am using this KVM switch with a computer running Vista Premium, and another computer running XP.

I got this to assist in migrating from an old PC to a new PC, but was so much fun I've kept the old one in place as an "installed spare/back-up". Otherwise, you can easily switch between running PC's using the "hot key" (scroll-lock + scroll-lock, preprogramed). Easy to connect (includes the cables); readily allows you to operate two PC's using one mouse, monitor, keyboard and set of speakers. {Note: there's a PS-2 KVM switch available if you have PS-2 mouse & keyboard.} My only problem is waking a sleeping PC (on power scheme); hitting the keyboard spacebar doesn't do it.

I used to do hibernate, but that seems to have problems with the KVM (sometimes). I hit the "scroll lock" key twice for my switching. You can also switch by using the 2 buttons on top of the unit (but my unit is on top of my PC, which sits on the floor).I usually put my main PC to sleep. It works good. So, I use sleep mode instead, and it works great.I would buy it again, if I needed one. The switching takes about 5 seconds. I have a Compaq PC with Windows XP. There are 2 connection sounds that you hear from the PC speakers when the switch is done (just normal Windows sounds), so you know when control is passed from one PC to another.

there was no way i could get it to work. I was pretty excited about getting this KVM switch, but after hooking it up, i was pretty disappointed. When i hooked it up i found out although it says it works with a pretty high resolution, (i have an lcd screen) everything seems fuzzy and doesn't look that good.
